Start+ Eco-Filament: All 3Doodler Start+ Eco-Filament is eco-friendly and non-toxic. It can be recycled or even composted in your backyard!

Create+ Filament: ABS and PLA are recyclable (number 7 recyclables). PLA and Wood are eco-friendly in an industrial composters.

PRO+ Filament: Nylon and Metal are recyclable (number 7 recyclables). Wood filament is eco-friendly in an industrial composters.

A Red light will display when heating up or when a setting is not selected (Note that the pen will not heat up until you select your filament type and speed)
A Blue light will display when feeding on a pre-set temperature mode
A Green light will display when you are in a custom mode
A Flashing Blue light will display when reversing on a pre-set temperature mode
A Flashing Green light will display when reversing in custom mode

This is a safety feature. The Screen will show “CD” for cooling down and you will have to wait 2min until the “CD” goes away on the display. Once it goes away, you can simply press the extrusion button to continue Doodling.

Some users notice a slight “filamenty” smell when using ABS. Many users prefer the smell of PLA, which, being corn based, can smell like popcorn or syrup. No matter what material you’re using, and whether you’re using a 3Doodler or a traditional 3D printer, we recommend working in a ventilated area.
