What You'll Need
1 Assemble your materials!
In addition to your 3Doodler 3D pen and plastics, you’ll want a DoodlePad to help you create the decals we’ve included in our free space stencil.
We’ll be covering the Doodles this week in Glow in the Dark paint, so this project is a great opportunity to use any extra/random strands of plastics you have on hand -- even mismatching colors.
In addition to the glow-in-the-dark paint and paintbrush, you'll want to secure some mounting putty or heavy-duty double-sided tape. That way, not only will your star decals glow, but they will stick to the ceiling or the wall with no mess!
2 Doodle your galaxy
Using your 3D pen and DoodlePad, trace the images featured on your free space stencil with plastics of any color. When the images have hardened, gently peel them off of the DoodlePad.
3 Make it glow!
Paint each of the doodles you created with the glow-in-the-dark paint of your choice. Make sure you allow the painted Doodles to dry thoroughly before moving on to the next step.
4 Decorate your space
Stick a tiny bit of mounting putty (per package directions) to the back of your Doodles and gently press to the wall or ceiling. Make sure the painted side of the decal is facing out, and the putty is on the back. Once you have mounted all of your space decals to your wall or ceiling, don’t forget to “charge” them by exposing them to light.
There are countless ways to place your decals, so have fun and create something you’re proud of!
