How do I use the DoodleBlocks™?

Simply draw into the grooves of the DoodleBlock™ to form a shape, wait 10-15 seconds for the plastic to harden and then bend the DoodleBlock™ to release your Doodled shape. You can then fill in the shape if you want, making it more solid. Once you’ve traced all the pieces, you can then use your 3Doodler Start to join them together to form your finished 3D creation.

  • Can I use the 3Doodler Start with my Create DoodlePad or other 3Doodler Create Accessories?

    No, the 3Doodler Start is not compatible with any of the 3Doodler 1.0, 2.0, or Create products or accessories, including Plastic Strands, DoodlePad, Nozzle Set, JetPack, Doodlestand, or Pedal. The only exception is the Project Book, which we encourage using for 3Doodler Start projects too.

  • Why are my Doodles not coming off of the Start DoodlePad?

    We have two DoodlePads available, one for the Create and the PRO, and one for the Start. To ensure you are using the correct products with your DoodlePad, please check here: www.the3doodler.com/compatibility The 3Doodler Start DoodlePad is only compatible with 3Doodler Start Eco-Plastics. Please do not use any other filaments with this DoodlePad. You can gently bend the DoodlePad to pop the Doodles off. Doodles might become damaged in the removal process, and may require mending. If you have any difficulties removing your Doodles, please email us at and we will be happy to assist you!

  • How does one charge the 3Doodler Start?

    The 3Doodler Start is sold with a micro USB charging cable, so you can plug it into any powered device with a USB port to recharge, though charging via USB power brick plugged directly into a power outlet is recommended. It can take up to 2 and a half hours for a the pen to reach a full charge.
