What do the various LED lights mean for the 3Doodler Start?

The LED turns SOLID RED when the pen is warming up.
The LED turns SOLID GREEN when the pen has heated up and is ready to use.
The LED SLOWLY FLASHES GREEN when the pen is feeding.
The LED QUICKLY FLASHES GREEN when the pen is reversing.
The LED SLOWLY FLASHES ORANGE when the pen has a low battery.
The LED QUICKLY FLASHES ORANGE when the pen is charging.
The LED turns SOLID ORANGE when the pen is fully charged.

  • How long can the 3Doodler Start be used wirelessly?

    Once fully charged, your 3Doodler Start will run wirelessly for 45 -60 minutes. Like any focussed activity it’s good to give yourself (and the pen) a break now and then. We suggest taking a 30 minute break after two hours of continuous Doodling.

  • How does one charge the 3Doodler Start?

    The 3Doodler Start is sold with a micro USB charging cable, so you can plug it into any powered device with a USB port to recharge, though charging via USB power brick plugged directly into a power outlet is recommended. It can take up to 2 and a half hours for a the pen to reach a full charge.
