Shadow puppets have been around for centuries. This ancient art form has allowed different cultures to tell their stories in cool and unique ways. In this tutorial, we'll walk you through creating your puppets and you can check out this short video to learn how to set up your theater.

What You'll Need

1 Assemble your materials!

Grab your 3Doodler and print out the FREE stencil. Start thinking of the story you’re going to tell with your puppets.

2 Doodle your character

Start by picking the animal you want to Doodle. Place the DoodlePad on top of the stencil and start tracing the animal. Once it’s traced, completely fill in the animal.

3 Turn it into a puppet

Once the plastic has cooled, fuse a piece of fresh plastic to your Doodle. Attach it to the back of your animal as shown here. This will allow you to hold your puppet like a more traditional shadow puppet. Once you have all of your animals Doodled, it's time to take it to the stage!
