What You'll Need

1 Start From Square One

Print out the template and cut along the dotted lines. Stick the rectangle onto a piece of cardboard.

2 Aim for the Stars

Doodle and fill in both star templates. Join the two triangles together to form each point of the star and attach each point to the base of the star.

3 Twinkle Twinkle

Doodle the lines in a contrasting color and attach to each point of the star to create definition. Add some jewels or glitter to make it sparkle!

4 Get Wrapping

To make the tassel, wrap extruded plastic around the rectangle. Repeat using at least 3 strands of filament with the contrasting color.

5 Thread it Through

Thread a needle and loop it beneath the plastic and out the other end. Gently remove the plastic from the cardboard while holding it in shape. Tie the thread securely with a double knot, make sure to leave plenty of string on both ends.

6 Snip It

After tying the tassle and cutting the string, flip it and cut the looped ends off on one side.

7 Final Touches

Use the tip of a hot nozzle (turn on the pen without plastic inside) and make a hole in the star. Pierce through the hole with a needle and string the thread from the tassel through the hole. Repeat from the other side and tie a tight knot, then Doodle a dot on the hole to secure the thread.

8 All Done

Use this as an ornament, bag charm, or make smaller ones to use as earrings!
