1 Start by gathering your materials!
All you'll need to create your own coin rubbings is your Start pen, some of our 3Doodler Start Eco-Filament, and a few coins of your choosing.
(By collecting several different-sized coins you can create a variety of rubbings and replicas.)
2 Make an impression.
Start by Doodling directly onto the coin. Once the whole coin is covered in filament, but while the filament is still soft and moldable, press the filament into the coin with your thumb. The added pressure will allow the filament to pick up the texture of the coin.
Once the filament has hardened, then you can peel it off the coin.
3 Make it look like a coin.
Repeat the above step with the other side of the coin.
Once you have both sides of the coin imprinted in filament you can attach them. Add filament to the non-imprinted side of each coin half and place them together. Doodle along the edge of the coin to help seal the two pieces of filament together.
4 The finished coin
Now you have a replica coin you Doodled yourself. Repeat the above steps for different coins using different colors to create your own replica money!
